Back when I still watched talk shows, I had such a huge crush on Stephen Colbert and John Stewart. I don’t think they’re as funny or as biting as Samantha Bee and for the life of me couldn’t figure out why they’re so famous (it’s misogyny).
Turns out, Colbert had a comic book series inspired by him called Stephen Colbert’s Tek Jansen.
Here’s the blurb:
Bursting out from the hit Comedy Central show, THE COLBERT REPORT– STEPHEN COLBERT’S TEK JANSEN! In this stunning continuation of Stephen Colbert’s critically acclaimed, yet unpublished prose novel, everyone’s favorite sci-fi hero must stand against the enemies of freedom no matter what dark planet they crawl from!
It’s kind of boring (story-wise and with no real nudity) and self-serving, and the jokes are borderline misogynistic. Mind you, the six-book series ran from 2007 until 2009, way before the reckoning that was #MeToo.
But, to continue our comic-version-of-real-people theme from last week’s Airboy, here’s comic version Stephen Colbert (almost) naked.
And here’s an old video of him, Stewart, and Steve Carrell shirtless and posing. Yeah, he’s not that hairy.

Dollsexposed documents full-frontal male nudity in comics and cartoons from mainstream and independent creators. The project was created in response to the longstanding imbalance in how male and female nudity are depicted in popular media.
Outside of Nerdcore, Dollsexposed creates mixed-media and miniature photography. Their work has been included in several juried exhibitions and festivals, including Tucson Erotica Art Show, Seattle Erotic Art Festival, Los Angeles Kinky Art Show, and Los Angeles Leather Getaway.
