Ah, ancient Rome. A time of war, opulence, poverty, and debauchery…
Well, nothing has changed much, really.
Anyway, for the whole month of September, we’ll revisit ancient Rome, the historical fiction kind, through a series of comics.
First up is Gloria Victis. It was originally published in French by Le Lombard (2014) and later in English by Europe Comics (2017).

There was a time when certain mortals could become gods. Risking their lives to entertain crowds, men could become living legends. Charioteers would perch on their vehicles like Apollo, would fight for their lives and honor in the arena. Dollsexposed documents full-frontal male nudity in comics and cartoons from mainstream and independent creators. The project was created in response to the longstanding imbalance in how male and female nudity are depicted in popular media.
Outside of Nerdcore, Dollsexposed creates mixed-media and miniature photography. Their work has been included in several juried exhibitions and festivals, including Tucson Erotica Art Show, Seattle Erotic Art Festival, Los Angeles Kinky Art Show, and Los Angeles Leather Getaway.
