Uncut Twink Dicks & Butts in “Le Patient”

We’re closing Rejuvenuary with this gorgeous (and homoerotic) comic called Le Patient (The Patient) by Timothé La Boucher (from Glénat Éditions).

I’ve read a few of La Boucher’s books, including Ces jours qui disparaissent. As much as I loved the super trippy Ces jours, this one has more male nudity and so much less female nudity, even if that other book is so, very gay. La Boucher (who’s also a twink) just loves to draw naked guys lounging from the back and you’ll see that pose being prominently featured here too.

The blurb (translated into English):

Police arrests a young woman walking on the street, covered in blood and holding a knife. When the officers go to the house, they discover a massacre: all of the family members have been murdered. Six years after, Pierre Grimaud, the only survivor of “The Massacre of Corneilles Street” wakes up from a coma. The young man of fifteen has now turned twenty-one. Disoriented, paralyzed, and still suffering from partial memory loss, he’s placed in the care of Dr. Anna Kieffer, a psychologist who specializes in criminology and victimology. During their sessions, Anne tries to put together his memories of the event. Pierre seems to have a mysterious presence, a person in shadows, haunted by his dreams that are probably an unconscious response to his trauma. After several meetings, Anne finds Pierre to be sensible and intelligent. Touched by his story, she even starts feeling some affection toward him. Little by little, the form a bond. Anna doesn’t know at one point her patient will change her life.

After the remarkable Ces jours qui disparaissent, Timothé Le Boucher returns with a new and incredible narration. Drawn in a realistic way, Le Patient is a psychological thriller gripping and surprising, and deals with some of the author’s signature themes: human connection, the notion of “time,” and the identity of memories.
