Daddy’s Hairy Bod, Dick, Butt in Delcourt’s “Come Prima”

It’s honestly refreshing to see full frontal male nudity in a stereotypically masculine comic, drawn by a man. The Europeans truly have less qualms about nudity, a lot less than Americans.

The blurb:

A few years after their father’s death, two brothers, Fabio and Giovanni, tour the open roads in a Fiat 500. Their journey through the early 1960s is marked by heated exchanges, quiet gaps, and a procession of memories that surface along the way. Their path is not just a physical return but a confrontation with the past that shaped their bond and their fault lines as brothers.

As fragments of their father’s portrait come into view, the brothers begin to shed light on their turbulent relationship. The voyage home to their native Italy reveals how shared history and unresolved tensions intersect with longing, guiding them toward a clearer understanding of who they were and who they might become.
